JULIAN DORER

I am a sports photographer who is a senior at The Athenian School in the San Francisco Bay Area. I started photographing sporting events during my sophomore year when I realized that I could combine my new love of photography with my lifelong passion for sports. I found that I could tell individual stories of the players through my photographs while creating images that are at home on a gallery wall.

By focusing on emotion using a grittier, more personal approach to my subjects, I differentiate my work from the typical photos found in sports photography. I create frames that catch the viewer's eye, highlighting the dramatic emotions in competition.
